How YOU can help!

Hello parents! We have recently been learning about animals, and your child may be coming home with some questions about various animals we have learned about! Here are some helpful tips to assist you in answering their questions and furthering their learning:

  • While you're driving, look at various animals and point out their size, color, and features. Discuss whether or not they could be someone's pet or if they should live in the wild.
  • Visit a local pet store or the Animal Rescue League in order to see different animals.
  • Visit a veterinarian's office to discuss how to appropriately care for animals.
  • If you have a pet at home, please discuss with your child the various needs their pet has. Make a list of "chores" for your pet that your child could assist with.
  • Go to the public library and check out books related to animals and their natural habitats. Remember, it is VERY important to read every day with your child!
Thank you for taking an interest in your child's learning! As always, feel free to contact me with any questions you may have!
